2024 Impact Report

As we reflect back on a busy 2024, we are proud to share the progress of the Greggs Foundation in our Impact Report.  Last year was a year of growth and evolution as we looked at ways to deepen our impact - all with the unwavering support of our partners, Greggs colleagues and supporters.

A key highlight of 2024 was reaching our milestone of 1,000 Breakfast Clubs now open in UK schools.  This is a target we have long worked towards, and it was a particularly proud moment that we were delighted to be able to share with our supporters.  Awarding over £5m into communities for the first time was also a huge step forward and something we hope to build on further this year.

We have been especially proud to introduce our new school initiative, Feeding Brighter Futures. This programme is designed to ensure equal access to extracurricular and enrichment activities in schools for all children.   By investing in the opportunities available to the next generation, we’re helping to build stronger foundations for brighter futures—ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive, both in and out of the classroom.

As part of this year’s report, we’re delighted to share stories showcasing the work of community organisations across the UK that have been supported through our Community Grants programme. You can learn how LS14 Trust and Hope St Mellons are working hard to drive change in their local area with help from the Greggs Foundation.

Thank you, as always, to our amazing partners and Greggs colleagues - your continued support is helping us build stronger, healthier communities for all.

2022 Impact report

Through our effective grant-funding programmes, we have been able to target support that addresses the evolving needs and challenges facing our communities. Our 2022 Impact Report serves as a testament to this commitment and the outcomes achieved.

Last year, we focused our efforts on addressing the cost-of-living increases and their impact on families. We understand the significant financial strains faced by many households, and we directed our resources towards initiatives such as our Breakfast Club and Hardship Grants programme that provided much-needed relief and support. The report provides an insightful overview of how our targeted help made a difference in the lives of those in need.

We are particularly excited to share a new short film featuring Empire Fighting Chance, a remarkable community boxing gym located in Bristol and one of our Community Hub grant recipients. Their story exemplifies the importance of the Community Hub programme, showcasing how boxing, combined with mentorship and support, has empowered young individuals to create positive change in their lives.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all of our wonderful Greggs colleagues. It is through their generosity and unwavering support that we have been able to make a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals. Your hard work and contributions have helped us create a positive ripple effect that extends far beyond what we could have achieved alone.

Together, let's celebrate the impact we have made and inspire others to join us in building stronger, healthier communities.
